🌤️ What Expat Gym Junkie Does on Her Day Off

Rest days aren’t lazy days — they’re recovery days, and honestly? They’re some of my favourites. Here’s what a perfect day off looks like for me:

🐾 Slow Morning + Dog Walks
No alarms, no rushing. Just a long, easy walk with my two little monsters — one tiny black shadow (the Chihuahua) and one scruffy terrier with far too much energy for a rest day. Sunshine, fresh air, wagging tails… the best therapy I know.

☕ Long Brunch (Non-Negotiable)
A proper rest day must include brunch. Good coffee, something egg-based, and the luxury of not watching the time. Doha brunches just hit different — relaxed, warm, and the perfect excuse to people-watch.

🍷 A Little Wine, Because Balance
Rest isn’t just physical. Sometimes switching off means a chilled glass of wine later in the day, good music, and the feeling of actually having nothing urgent to do. Bliss.

💤 Actual Rest, Not Pretend Rest
I don’t chase steps or force workouts on my recovery days. I let my body reset. Walks, naps, slow movement — that’s it.
Because rest is where strength gets built.

✨ The Vibe
Soft gym wear. Hair up. Zero makeup. Dogs curled at my feet.
A whole day of being human, not a machine.
