My Mounjaro Journey - Month 2
Month 2 – Week 1: The Journey Continues (With a Few Bumps Along the Way)
Another week down, and the scales are still moving in the right direction — weight is coming off, slow but steady. I’m starting Month 2 on a higher dose, and while the results are promising, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing.
The Good News
-
The weight is still shifting - first time under 15st in years!. That alone keeps me motivated.
-
My appetite is more controlled than it’s ever been.
The Not-So-Great News
With the higher dose came a few “fun” side effects:
-
Nausea (not overwhelming, but enough to remind me my stomach isn’t thrilled).
-
Gassy stomach (my poor wife deserves a medal).
-
And the big one: severe joint pain in my knee.
I don’t know if it’s the meds, my weight pressing down, or just my body’s way of reminding me I’m not 25 anymore — but this knee is making itself heard loud and clear.
The Mindset
Even with the discomfort, I keep reminding myself why I started: to feel better, to move better, to live better. And every kilo down is proof that the effort is worth it. This journey isn’t about being perfect — it’s about pushing forward, even when your knee wants to negotiate for early retirement.
Here’s to Week 2 — hopefully with fewer complaints from my joints and more good news from the scales!
